December was an exciting month for Kindergarten. We spent a lot of time making friendships and creating crafts and cards with our Second Grade buddies. We had fun making Tagzedos for Christmas cards in the computer lab. We cut and designed "snowflakes" to hang down the hallways, and we played and read with our buddies. We enjoyed every minute of our time with our big buddies! Mrs. Rickard's class shared a Penguin Unit with us. They had researched all 17 different kinds of penguins and even had created life-size penguins for a display for us. Each Third grader read their report and shared some interesting facts. We were very interested in everything they had to share. Later, another group of third graders had come to visit and helped us make little penguins as a craft. We had a lot of fun and had a great time learning from our Third Grade Buddies!
Kindergarten enjoyed many a recess on this bank. Unfortunately, this is all that remains...a pile of dirty snow filled with cinders!!! Oh, well, there's always next year! Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!!!
Kindergarten and Second Grade had fun learning about pumpkins as they carved them, collected and counted the seeds, and baked the seeds for a "yummy" treat! Everyone was having fun learning and eating! A great pumpkin experience!
Kindergarten and Second Grade worked together to compare the size, the shape, and the weight of our pumpkins. We then took turns carving them and pulling out all the seeds. We cleaned the seeds and cooked them for a healthy treat. Mmmm good!

Our Kindergarten works with many of the grades in our school to learn and share friendships. We have a variety of projects through the year that involve problem solving, peer-teaching and creative crafts. Please visit this section of our Weebly to check out our great projects!
